The UCSB Department of Recreation is one of the largest employers on campus with over 600+ student positions. Most programs like Intramural Sports, Sports Clubs and Special Events, are heavily student-run. Students work in a fast-paced, professional environment, and directly with career staff mentors. Through working at the Department, they build positive relationships, gain first hand experience in developing management, organization and leadership skills. We pride ourselves on extensive training both within the different Recreation Areas and Department Wide.
