Gaucho Tour Guide (2017-2018 hire) | UCSB Office of Admissions

Gaucho Tour Guides are the official student ambassadors of UC Santa Barbara, employed by the Office of Admissions Visitor Center. Their primary responsibility is to lead tours of the campus to help over 50,000 visitors learn about the offerings of UC Santa Barbara. All guides are required to attend monthly staff meetings and lead 10 tours per quarter. During spring quarter, guides may be required to work on weekends. In addition to tours, experienced tour guides have opportunities to represent UC Santa Barbara at off campus recruitment events and on social media.

All Gaucho Tour Guides are also members of the Gaucho Tour Association, our registered campus organization and social group.
