After school Tutor Winter and Spring Quarter

Afterschool Tutor                       

We are a non-profit learning center in Santa Barbara. We are looking for tutors for our afterschool programs. We are looking for Work Study students. 

Subject Areas:  Math and Reading 

Grade Levels: 3-11 

Schedule: Monday through Thursday (most tutors work 4-6 hours per week) 

Time: 3:00 to 7:00 

Pay: $11-12:00 per hour depending

Qualifications: Tutoring experience – please do not apply if you have never tutored before we need experienced tutors.

Training: All tutors receive 6 hours of basic training and must attend monthly training meetings. 

Background Checks: Yes, required background check and TB test 

Our environment is positive and fun we are looking for tutors that will be good examples for our students. Our tutors work at Gateway for 2 or 3 years. They build amazing relationships with our students and staff. We love supporting first-generation students. Many of our former tutors are now teaching and working in education.
