A Student Assistant is responsible for assisting Program Directors and Managers with coordinating programs and events; inputting data into databases; maintaining department records; scanning and compiling documents; answering student questions; emailing and communicating with instructors; assisting instructors during after hours courses; maintaining and troubleshooting A/V equipment; and other tasks as needed.  

The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, possess the ability to work with minimum supervision and make independent decisions. Assignments require use of discretion and judgment. Duties are performed under direct supervision from assigned staff; work is regularly reviewed and may entail detailed instructions. 

Student Assistant candidate must be available during the summer quarter. Most work will take place between 8am-5pm however, candidate must be available for occasional early morning (6am-8am) or after hours (5pm-10pm) shifts. Must have familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, and be willing and able to efficiently learn other software programs as needed. Experience with Mac and PCs is required.
