AS Cashier Student Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Cashier Coordinator, the Student Cashiers Manager manages the day-to- day operation of the A.S. Cashiers and Ticket Office. Responsible for end of day accounting for three Ticket Offices and the A.S. Bike Shop. Coordinates accounting and paperwork processing duties to be assigned to the Student Cashiers. Assists the Cashiers Coordinator in scheduling Student Cashier shifts, orders supplies, and communicates information to student staff. Assists the Cashiers Coordinator in preparing deposits for bank pick-up.

Processes daily cashier’s deposits, Accounting Office deposits and daily ticket sales from the ASTO which includes: 

  • Overseeing Student Cashiers as they do an end of shift checkout and verify correct change fund in restored drawer.
  • Count each cash bag from previous day and verify that it balances with the Daily Sales Summary.
  • Merging income from all AS deposits.
  • Returning change funds from On-site events to the vault. 

Counts and balances A.S. Cashier’s vault change fund with the Cashiers Coordinator.

Orders supplies and keeps the office stocked with necessary forms, invoices and requisitions.  

Checks the A.S. Ticket Office mailbox and distributing any mail accordingly.  

Closes the A.S. Cashier’s Office, which includes:  

  • Returning tickets on sale to the vault
  • Verifying daily ticket counts by the Cashiers
  • Balancing total ticket counts.

Trains Student Cashiers on receiving and documentation of incoming OSL student group deposits and verifying enrollment for distribution of bus stickers.

Trains Student Cashiers on processing student loan and CFF grant applications.

Must be available to work at least one event over the Holiday Winter Break and monthly nights and most weekends. Applicants moving forward will be contacted via email.

Cover Letter and Resume optional. Please include a copy of GOLD class schedule for Winter and Spring Quarters. Summer availability is a plus. for training for this position.

Hours Per Week: 3.0-18.0 hrs (Averages 15 per week)
Location: AS Cashier Ticket Office
Wage: $13.00 p/hr
