SOD Student Assistant

Title of Position: SOD Student Assistant 
Location: UCSB Office of the Registrar (

Under general supervision, provides support for the Systems Operations and Development Unit.

Responsible for imaging and auditing documents specific to students’ records for the divisional document imaging system.

Responsible for sorting, prepping and scanning student documents from various sources (i.e. student folders, Imaging in-bin backlog, grad matters degree audits, etc). Also responsible for post-scanning procedures, which include indexing each individual document, and subsequently reviewing and auditing all work performed by imaging staff for accuracy, quality and continuity.
Percentage of time: 60%
Frequency: Daily

Responsible for filing and sorting completed physical documents for retention. Offers feedback concerning imaging procedures.
Percentage of time: 25%
Frequency: Daily

Responsible for data entry, auditing records and reports, drafting correspondence (as assigned), receiving various office deliveries and filing.
Percentage of time: 10%
Frequency: Daily

Performs special duties as assigned by Supervisor(s).
Percentage of time: 5%
Frequency: Weekly
