Life of the Party Graphic Design/Social Media/Marketing Position - 2018-2019 Academic Year



Life of the Party is based on the philosophy that you can party without putting yourself in danger. That you can drink without binging or blacking out. That those who choose to experiment can without putting yourselves at risk for synergistic overdose. That you can have fun while still taking care of yourself and your peers.

We strive to provide information, advice, and fun activities to make your partying experience safer and more fun. We hope to change the perception of UCSB and Isla Vista and show that we can have fun safely.

Time Commitment:

·        Requires at least one full school year commitment September 2018 – June 2019.

·        Up to 10/12 hours per week plus special events.

·        Not required to work finals or break weeks.

·        Attendance at weekly LOTP staff meeting at 5pm on Thursdays.

·        Must be available for training/planning beginning September 17th and work for the remainder of the summer to prepare for fall quarter.

Compensation: $11.00/hr

Duties:

·        Create print marketing materials for LOTP events, campaigns, and educational programs. This will include, but is not limited to fliers, stickers, shirts, brochures and other marketing materials.

·        Produce digital marketing campaigns that highlight LOTP’s mission, events, and programs.

·        Assist in the rebranding and maintain strong branding of LOTP’s image, message, and initiatives to ensure consistency and visibility on campus.

·        Increase visibility to students through various media platforms.

·        Contribute to and oversee LOTP social media postings and presence.

·        Ensure that LOTP materials are clean and grammatically correct.

·        Maintain, update, and monitor the LOTP website weekly.

·        Attend office/desk hours to work on projects three to five hours per week.

·        Serve as a team member in spreading LOTP’s mission and vision on Campus.

Expectations:

·        Must be a currently enrolled UCSB student (work‐study encouraged to apply) in good academic standing.

·        Must be self‐driven, independent, and demonstrate strong initiative‐taking skills.

·        Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

·        Must be comfortable with public speaking, facilitation, and peer education.

·        Must be able to work night and weekend hours.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·        Attend office/desk hours to work on projects three to five hours per week.

·        Have a passion for the LOTP mission and vision.

Qualifications:

·        Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software/Photoshop and social media platforms or other design programs.

·        Knowledge of website design.

·        Proficient knowledge and skills in video creation and editing.
