KCSB-FM Digital Media Coordinator

Under the guidance of the KCSB Advisor, the Digital Media Coordinator is responsible for regularly updating the KCSB website, e-newsletter, and other social media platforms. The DMC is responsible for producing and curating content that creates interest in the site and in the station, including photography, videography, and social media posts. 

Partial List of Duties/Regular Tasks

  • Reviews and maintains web posts on kcsb.org and social networking sites (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube).
  • Aids and encourages programmers in making show-related posts and other online material
  • Co-leads the Promotions Subcommittee
  • Create sand sends out monthly KCSB e-newsletters
  • Coordinates KCSB’s Film Subcommittee / Internship
  • Updates the online programming schedules on Spinitron and Radio Free America at the beginning of every quarter

Suggested Qualifications:

Should have an understanding of the radio station, our media ethics, its operations, its policies, and its bylaws. Strong leadership skills, ability to prioritize tasks, complete projects on time, and meet deadlines strongly recommended.

Overarching Executive Committee responsibilities:

  • Must be present in Santa Barbara for at least half of Summer and half of Winter break (depending on the job position).
  • Expected to attend all KCSB events.
  • Must attend weekly Executive Committee meetings.
  • Must maintain a program on FM during employment.
  • Must lead and conduct a volunteer subcommittee for your department.
  • Job goes until June 2019
