Work outdoors and help improve your community! Participate in a variety of park maintenance duties including but not limited to mowing, edging and raking lawns, weeding, planting and watering, trimming, digging holes, painting, picking up litter and other related duties as required.
Learn about organic gardening practices, native plants, irrigation and turf maintenance techniques, as well as how to safely use hand tools, weed whips, ride-on mowers and other industry vehicles and tools (DMV readout will be required during hiring process).
We provide a flexible work schedule but require an average of 10hrs per week in no less than 3hr blocks. You must enjoy nature, be reliable, detail oriented, hardworking and enthusiastic! This job involves personal interaction with park-users, so the successful candidate must have a pleasant demeanor, be team oriented, but also be able to work independently.
Requires frequent lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally weighing up to 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching and occasional crawling to work close to the ground; handling and reaching, using tools and equipment.
