Surplus Sales Assistant

List items on designated websites & social media outlets used to sell UCSB surplus including drafting product descriptions, attaching image of item and tracking product listing.  

Organize and arrange surplus sales items by type for attractive presentation to prospective customers. These include but are not limited to furniture, chairs, bookcases, PC, other electronics and misc. Collect and separate designated items for waste disposal, salvage or recycling.  Assist customers with loading of purchased items, as directed, during surplus sales hours.  Collect surplus sales items at designate spots on the UCSB campus.  

Prepare and assist with weekly and monthly sales reports and data collection. Learn and utilize asset management software, barcoding application and data storage & retrieval. Establish and maintain organization of data files, sales and customized reports for surplus sales office. Develop create methods to promote, publicize and attract new customers to UCSB Surplus Sales.
